Palliative care is supporting people with a life-limiting illness. It can sometimes be called “supportive care”.
Our aim is to help your loved one have a good quality of life. Palliative care covers a lot of areas, like managing pain, etc, however, our job is to help with social care. This can include (but is not limited to) help with washing, dressing or eating. We understand the sensitivity of the situation – we make sure you only receive help from our best trained and experienced carers.
Palliative care is very often provided alongside medical treatment – we can help your loved one get to appointments too. If you care for an ill person yourself it is very important you stay in touch with your friends and get out when you can. This is where we can step in and help you keep the right balance in your own life.
